The conference will be followed by a two-day long Maya hieroglyphic workshop (February 26-27) at the beginners and intermediate levels.
- beginners level: is open to all participants with no prior or little knowledge of Maya writing. This workshop does not have a thematic focus but concentrates exclusively on teaching “newcomers”, in a structured and didactic way, how to read Classic Maya hieroglyphic inscriptions
- intermediate level: improving skills and deciphering various Maya inscriptions for the participants that have a basic knowledge of the Maya hieroglyphic writing
Workshops will be taught by experienced tutors: Christophe Helmke (University of Copenhagen), Harri Kettunen (University of Helsinki), Guido Krempel (University of Bonn), Sven Gronemeyer (La Trobe Univeristy, Melbourne) and Sebastian Matteo (SAB, Brussels) .
Workshops will be taught in English.
Fee: 50 zł (Polish participants), 20 € (foreign participants)
